Maths Teacher (Day-to-Day Cover)

We are currently seeking enthusiastic, adaptable, and dedicated Maths Teachers to join our pool of day‑to‑day cover staff supporting a leading FE college in the Mansfield and Ashfield area.

If you’re passionate about helping young people and adult learners achieve their full potential in Maths, this flexible cover role is a great way to make a real impact — while maintaining a healthy work‑life balance.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Delivering engaging Maths lessons to FE learners (16–19 and adults).
• Following existing schemes of work and adapting materials when needed.
• Managing a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Ensuring learners remain on task and supported during staff absence.
• Maintaining high standards of teaching and safeguarding.

What We’re Looking For

• A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, QTS, QTLS, or working toward QTLS).
• A strong subject knowledge in Maths (GCSE and/or Functional Skills).
• Experience teaching in Further Education, Secondary, or post‑16 settings.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Flexibility, reliability, and a learner‑focused approach.
• A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
